Jillian Reynolds “Sings” at Howard Stern's Wedding

Date: 3 Nov 2008 | Views: 13646

As we reported last week, radio personality Howard Stern wed his long-time girlfriend Beth Ostrosky last weekend in a star-studded ceremony. In the weeks prior to the wedding, Stern vented on-air about how he and his new bride agonized over narrowing down the guest list. The final list included Barbara Walters, John Stamos and Joan Rivers, a long time friend of Howard’s. One D-list celeb who made the cut was morning TV host and occasional FOX sports correspondent Jillian Barberie, who is a huge fan of Stern’s and lobbied heavily for an invite. But Barberie, who has a tendency to be a loudmouth, embarrassed herself and made other wedding goers cringe when she joined Dixie Chicks lead singer Natalie Maines on stage for an impromptu performance of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.”

Howard went on to say that when the song was done, some of the guests had actually left, and Sarah Silverman asked him, “What the f$%& was that?” Anyone who’s been to a wedding knows that there’s always someone like this - they drink a little too much and make an ass of themselves. Even at celeb weddings, you kind of have to expect it. But if I were Jillian, I’d probably lay low for a while.

I was hoping she’d do ”Landslide” but didn’t want to pressure her into it. Then Jillian Barberie got up to perform the song with her. Now, don’t get me wrong, I love Jillian, but…Jillian was doing all of the singing and Natalie was hardly doing anything. It was horrible. I mean, Natalie probably sings it better than anyone in the world and then Jillian goes up and sings the song at the top of her drunken lungs.
